1. Welcome to CleanThread!
Hello! These Terms of Service ("Terms") outline the agreement between you and CleanThread ("we," "us," or "our") when you use our website, mobile app, and laundry/dry cleaning services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you confirm that you agree to follow these Terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, you shouldn't use our Services.
We recommend reading these carefully. If anything is unclear, please reach out using the contact information at the end of this page.
2. Who Can Use Our Services (Eligibility)
You need to be at least 18 years old to use CleanThread. By using our Services, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have the legal ability to agree to these Terms.
- You'll use our Services according to these rules.
- You're allowed to use our Services under the law.
If you're using CleanThread on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have the authority to agree to these Terms for that entity.
3. Your CleanThread Account
Some features require you to create an account. When you sign up, please ensure you:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- Keep your details current if they change.
- Protect your password and don't share it.
- Accept responsibility for activities under your account.
- Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
We might suspend or close your account if your information isn't accurate, if it's outdated, or if we suspect a violation of these Terms.
4. Service Description
CleanThread provides laundry and dry cleaning services to customers in Delhi NCR. Our Services include:
- Pickup and delivery of laundry and dry cleaning items
- Washing, drying, and folding of regular laundry
- Dry cleaning of delicate garments
- Ironing and pressing services
- Special treatment for stains and specialized items
Service availability may vary by location and time. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time without notice.
5. Ordering and Payment
5.1 Placing Orders
You can place orders through our website, mobile application, or by contacting our customer service. When placing an order, you agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding:
- Pickup and delivery addresses
- Contact information
- Service type and special instructions
- Scheduled pickup and delivery times
5.2 Pricing
Prices for our Services are listed on our website and mobile application. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Additional charges may apply for:
- Express or priority service
- Special handling of delicate items
- Stain removal or specialized treatments
- Delivery outside our standard service areas
5.3 Payment
We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, and cash on delivery (where available). By providing a payment method, you:
- Represent that you are authorized to use the payment method
- Authorize us to charge your payment method for the order
- Authorize us to charge your payment method for any additional fees or charges as described in these Terms
All payments are processed securely through our payment processors. We do not store your complete payment information on our servers.
6. Pickup and Delivery
6.1 Scheduling
You can schedule pickups and deliveries within our operating hours. We will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the scheduled times, but actual pickup and delivery times may vary based on factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and order volume.
6.2 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring someone is available at the pickup and delivery locations during the scheduled time windows
- Providing accurate and complete address information
- Ensuring the items are ready for pickup at the scheduled time
- Informing us of any special handling instructions for your items
6.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a pickup or delivery, please notify us at least 2 hours in advance. Late cancellations or missed pickups/deliveries may incur a fee as specified in our cancellation policy.
7. Item Handling and Care
7.1 Inspection
We inspect all items upon receipt. However, we may not identify all pre-existing conditions, such as weak fabric, color bleeding, or hidden damage. By using our Services, you acknowledge that:
- Some items may be damaged during normal cleaning processes due to pre-existing conditions
- We cannot guarantee the removal of all stains
- Some items may shrink, fade, or show wear during normal cleaning processes
7.2 Lost or Damaged Items
In the event of loss or damage to your items while in our care, our liability is limited as described in Section 10 (Limitation of Liability). Please report any lost or damaged items within 48 hours of delivery.
7.3 Unclaimed Items
Items that remain unclaimed for more than 30 days after the scheduled delivery date may be donated to charity or disposed of at our discretion. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before disposing of unclaimed items.
8. Prohibited Items
The following items should not be included in your laundry or dry cleaning orders:
- Items containing hazardous materials or substances
- Valuable items such as cash, jewelry, watches, or other valuables
- Personal identification documents, credit cards, or other sensitive documents
- Electronics or electronic devices
- Items prohibited by law
We are not responsible for any loss or damage to prohibited items that are inadvertently included in your order.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of our website and mobile application, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, are owned by CleanThread or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our website or mobile application without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CleanThread and our directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use our Services
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our Services
- Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our Services
- Any loss or damage to items due to normal wear and tear, pre-existing conditions, or inherent characteristics of the items
In the event of loss or damage to your items while in our care, our liability is limited to:
- The cost of dry cleaning or laundering the damaged item, or
- The depreciated value of the item, not to exceed five (5) times the cost of the service for that item, or
- ₹500 per item, whichever is less
This limitation of liability shall apply to all claims, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CleanThread and our directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of our Services.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be instituted in the courts of Delhi, India, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes. Changes to these Terms are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued use of our Services after we post changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
